Officially launched at Automechanika Frankfurt 2012, Valeo ClimFilter™ Supreme was commercialized in April 2013, awarded “Innovative Development of the Year” in August 2013 at MIMS in Russia and presented by Valeo as innovation at IAA Frankfurt in September 2013.
ClimFilter™ Supreme is the first cabin air filter in Europe aiming at protecting drivers and passengers against particles, harmful gases, unpleasant odours and the entrance of the airborne allergens in the cabin. The air inside the cabin may be five times more polluted than outside and the constant exposure to allergens may provoke an allergy at any age.
As the Air Quality multi-specialist, Valeo developed an exclusive 92%[1] proven efficiency cabin air filter against strongest airborne allergens in Europe.
ClimFilter™ Supreme is based on combined technology with active carbon and integrates the additive polyphenol coating that neutralises allergens.
Polyphenols are the natural compounds widely found in the plants, fruits and vegetables known for their health benefits (antioxidant). The microscopic allergens present in the air are captured by the filter. The first surface of Valeo ClimFilter™ Supreme with active polyphenol binds and neutralizes them immediately.
The symptoms of inhalation allergies - sneezing, itching, watery eyes, runny noses, difficulty in breathing, but also tiredness, irritability and headache - are not only a source of discomfort but they may also deteriorate considerably driver’s concentration. For example, when sneezing at 80km/h driving speed, a driver will cover a 25 meters distance with eyes closed[2]. According to figures published by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the probability for people suffering from allergies to have a road accident is 30% higher than of other people.

Produced in France, this new ClimFilter™ Supreme is a Valeo patented innovation and completes the existing ClimFilter™ range made of ClimFilter™ Comfort (particle technology) and ClimFilter™ Protect (active carbon technology). Each one is easy to identify thanks to the packaging color code: green for ClimFilter™ Comfort, blue for ClimFilter™ Protect and purple for ClimFilter™ Supreme. Furthermore with the part number, the product picture and name and dedicated pictograms visible on three sides of the box, this new packaging brings the facilities for warehouses (storage, picking) and shops.
