Valeo, a global leader in electrification and thermal systems, continues to accelerate its expansion in the electric vehicle (EV) aftermarket with the introduction of eight new part references that underscore its position at the forefront of e-mobility technologies.
Valeo has extended its high-voltage AC compressor range with the launch of four new references – 690297, 690299, 690300, and 690301 – for Hyundai Ioniq and Kona, as well as Kia Niro and Xceed models. These additions address growing demand in the rapidly expanding electric and hybrid vehicle segments, ensuring garages and distributors have access to high-quality, OE-spec replacements in the aftermarket.
In parallel, Valeo has also strengthened its thermal management offering with four new chiller references – 822789, 822790, 822791, and 822792 – that are exclusive to Valeo in the aftermarket. These references cover key models such as the Hyundai Ioniq, Kona, and Tucson, and the Kia Niro, filling a critical gap in EV aftermarket coverage.
This builds on the successful 2024 launch of Valeo's first electric vehicle chiller, model 822787, which is installed in the Volkswagen ID range and has already demonstrated strong performance in the aftermarket.
These new additions build on Valeo’s established reputation for EV applications, and reinforce its strategy of bringing OE innovation to the independent aftermarket.
Valeo is not just responding to the shift toward electrification – it is actively shaping it. As the world’s No. 1 in both low- and high-voltage electric powertrain solutions, and No. 2 in thermal management systems, Valeo is uniquely positioned to support the automotive aftermarket as it adapts to the growing presence of electrified vehicles on the road.
Thermal systems are essential for electric vehicles – they directly impact range, charging performance, and battery durability. An EV contains 2.5 times more thermal equipment than a traditional combustion vehicle, making reliable, high-quality replacements critical for aftermarket service professionals.
Valeo’s leadership in this space is grounded in decades of experience – having equipped the first hybrids back in 2006 with advanced cooling systems.
Electrification – A Fast-Growing Market
The electrification market is booming, with +30% growth between 2021 and 2025, and the thermal systems market alone is projected to reach €21 billion by 2025. For Valeo, growth doesn’t stop at the vehicle level – it includes enabling aftermarket distributors and garages to stay ahead of the curve with the right products and technical expertise.
Thanks to its double expertise in electric powertrains and thermal systems, Valeo has become a pioneer in OE electrification and a key enabler of the aftermarket’s EV transition. These latest product launches reflect Valeo’s commitment to making high-quality, OE-derived EV technologies accessible to independent repair professionals, ensuring they are fully equipped to meet the needs of tomorrow’s mobility.
For distributors and workshops alike, one name stands out in the EV aftermarket: Valeo.
